Trusts

A trust is a written document wherein the person who makes the trust is called the “settlor” or “grantor”. The “settlor” or “grantor” designates a person, or themselves to serve as the trustee to hold the assets of the trust. Trust assets are held in the trustee’s name with the designation of trustee and identifies the name and date of the trust. A trust will give powers to the trustee to pay bills and authorize them to sell the property and to whom they should distribute assets.
